What is your name? Eliška
Where are you from? I am originally from Brno. However, I lived in the UK for a long time and I feel very much at home there as well as in the Czech Republic.
What do you like most about teaching? Being able to speak another language opens up a whole new world. You learn to listen and express yourself in a different way and I think it can be quite a liberating process to which I enjoy being a guide.
What do you like about the English (or Czech) language? I adore the variety of English accents. There are so many! Just hearing the Scottish, Irish or London accents makes me instantly happy. Czech is beautiful and complex. You can be really geeky and particular about the Czech language and I very much like that.
What do you like about Brno? Brno has become a lovely and lively place to live in over the last few years. I like that it’s not too big but if you’re after anything cultural or just fancy a night out, there is always something to do. And at the same time the countryside is never too far if you’ve had enough of city life.
What do you do in your free time? I exercise, meditate, sometimes study and read, hang out with friends and family. I also love to dream in my free time! :)
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Hmm, how can you possibly choose just one thing? Any vegan ice-cream will do. Or lentil dhal!
