What is your name? :-) Vikki Kurylak

Where are you from? Farnborough, Hampshire- according to Wikipedia, the airport was used in the James Bond film, Quantum of Solace as the Austrian airport that Bond flies from.

What do you like most about teaching? Those moments in every class when the students reveal a little more about themselves accidentally are always a pleasant surprise- don't assume you know everything about them after your first lesson.

What do you like about the English (or Czech) language? The two languages are both easy and difficult in their own way. Czech does that mind-boggling thing of changing the ending of words every time the person/ thing/gender/ context is different. On the other hand, once you've learnt the alphabet and their sounds, reading things out loud becomes easy.     

What is your favourite word in English? Ethereal- it even sounds ethereal!

What is your least favourite word in English? You don't want to know.

What do you like about Brno? You're never too far away from a cosy pub to drink in or a lush green park to wonder around.

What do you do in your free time? I love reading, especially with a glass of wine nearby.

What was the last picture you took on your phone? The front cover of a book called "Underwater dogs", it was full of photos of exactly that, and it made me giggle.

What was the last thing you cooked for somebody else? I made a mushroom risotto for my boyfriend- sadly he loves cooking so much, I'm lucky if I can get anywhere near the kitchen.
